I promise, I do use more than just Lime Crime products. Honest. But one thing Lime Crime does so right is their lip products, and so when I saw the Wet Cherry Lip Gloss, I knew I had to try it. I have a love/hate relationship with lipgloss. I love the way it looks, but hate the way it feels, and I always take it off after an hour. But something about the Wet Cherry range drew me in, and given Lime Crime has such flawless lip product formulas, I knew I had to try it.
Extra Poppin’ is a beautiful crystal clear gloss, which is perfect for topping your favourite lipstick. With clear gloss, it’s hard to tell if it’s patchy, but it glides on so smooth and even. The huge doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply and pack on that shine.
And the smell. It has such a sweet cherry smell – think Haribo cherries. Luckily, it’s not so overwhelming that you can’t put it on your face. There is a slight tack to it, but it’s not sticky to the point where you’re picking your hair out of it.
I’m not overly enamoured with the packaging, although it is cute. I’m a fan of the frosted glass of the Matte Velvetines, but I get the shtick with Wet Cherry is that it’s cute and fun. It’s fit for purpose and still looks great in my collection.
Long story short, this is a great first lipgloss. It has a fantastic shade range and all the colours are cute and quirky.
